Hello,
Would appreciate any inputs on what rent one can expect for a 2 bedroom & 3 bedroom apartments in Basavangudi area(close to the Police Station). Someone mentioned it was close Rs. 50,000 per month, but I could not believe it.
Anyone with information regarding please post.

Hi Lonedesi..It depends on the sq. feet area of your flat irrespective of 2-3 bedroom apartment..My experience says the average rate range would be Rs. 15000-30000 depending on the sq. feet area and location. For eg: In a locality near Police station (which is a posh area) for 1800 sq.feet it would fetch u a rent of Rs.30000/- Now u can calculate accordingly per ur sq.feet area. Hope this helps.

Basavanagudi is mainly a area where people prefer individual houses more than apartments ! also, there is no major IT presence here. Its the cultural hub of Bangalore, so IT folks might find commuting tough to EC or whitefield.
rentals in this area are from 10k to 20k for 2BHK or 3BHK house.. if its individual house on a big plot, it can go upto 30K.

Thank you deepak_dips & duffyhair. There was this apartment builder who was selling apartments in this area and quoting close to 1.3 crores for a 3 BHK. He assured that one can expect Rs 50,000 rent in those apartments and was coaxing me to purchase it. Your inputs helps me get a more realistic rental rates. Thanks.

for 1.3 crore,
you can buy plot(1200sqft or more) in Basavangudi and around areas, construct atleast 3000sqft of built area and rent it out.. it would fetch more rentals than the apartment and also gives you an option to construct it as per your requirement!
