Default Investment in Chandigarh

Dear All

I reside and operate in Chandigarh. Chandigarh is emerging as one of the fastest growing cities of Indian and soon would attain status of a metro. Various factors owing the development of Chandigarh are detailed next.

Till now companies looked at Gurgaon, Mumbai or Bangalore whenever they thought of setting their establishments. Now, the conducive environment of Chandigarh and India’s “breadbaskets” are largely attracting the attention of Multinational Companies. With large opportunities for the corporate sector, the city has opened doors to welcome them. Also, the availability of educated and proficient manpower makes the city a strong contender to experience the next wave of IT growth.

Chandigarh is already a home to a number of IT companies. Infosys, India’s second largest software company, was among the first to step into the city and start their operations from its complex spread over 30 acres in the Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park (RGCTP).
Real estate firm Parsvnath Developers Ltd said on Thursday it plans to set up a luxury township in Chandigarh at an estimated cost of 16 billion rupees over three years.

The 123-acre project will have 3.85 million square feet of residential space, and 270,000 sq ft of commercial space. Estimated revenues will be around 41 billion rupees, it said in a statement.

Construction firm Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is venturing into its first commercial project in the country here in Chandigarh. In a city where commercial space comes at a premium, the firm has proposed to set up a five star hotel, malls and business towers on 20 acres along NH-21, close to the upcoming international airport in Chandigarh.

An international airport in Chandigarh will soon be a reality with a high-powered committee of the Punjab Government clearing the acquisition of over 300 acres of land for setting up an international terminal at the Chandigarh Airport.
