Chennai alone Tamil Nadu ?
May be my plot (near Chennai) price may increase and my flat price also... But Chennai alone Tamil Nadu ?? Metro Rail - RS 14,000 Crores Coovum Cleaing - RS 1200 Crores (Joke of this Century). Adyar Park - RS 100 Crores Koturpuram Library - Rs 100 Crores Chennai Airport expansion - Rs 2200 Crores Bridges Guindy Kathipara Airport bridge Padi Koyambedu Perambur Pallavaram Mogappair VyasarPadi.... etc etc. Greenfield Sriperumbuthur Airport - Multi Crore If the TN govt spends atleast Rs 1000 crores each for infrastructure development in Kovai, Madurai, Trichy, Nellai and Salem.... the migration to Chennai can be controlled. And the state govt is NOT willing to allot single Rupee for the Chennai Kanyakumari double line (Rail track). And NOT fighting the central govt for this. What a pity .......what a partiality ? |

Yes. Your points are really valid. I really do not understand why the Government is focussing only chennai . If we spend small amounts for Tier 2 cities then the standard of living of those cities as well as chennai will improve. I feel this way because chennai is overcrowded and we need to spend huge money even for basic necessities.

Agreed Siddhu... but infrastructure is already in place compared to other cities... Being capital it is natural that the capital city is pampered.... Take the case of Delhi... all the major international games for India are held there... right from Asian games to the present Commonwealth games... There was a proposal by MGR to transfer the capital to Madurai but it did'nt frutify...
Once the majority of Industries and head offices of companies come it is natural that the population shift follows..... |
