Default Distance Between EB Post and Plot.

Friends,
What is the legal distance between the EB Post and Residential(Approved ) plot of land ? In my case I feel that the EB department is harassing me. Please let me know your thoughts.

there is no legal distance.if yours is patta land and not encroaching the public road then you have no responsibility towards TNEB or any public body.if you are constructing a building then you are suppose to keep your building inside your boundary and not protrude onto the streets.

if the posts are intruding into your land then you can give them a petition and ask them to shift the poles.
but to be pragmatic it is better to grease them and get the poles shifted.

Incidentally one can even get a EB post shifted from your plot front if it obstructs passage to your plot!
