Default Leessee Agreement

Hi,

I am planning to purchase a property in chennai chromepet.The seller had entered into a leesee agreement in the year of 2003 and the leese agreement is been registered and the leesee agreement is for ten years and at 2008 he had cancelled the leese agreement and that is also registered .Can I buy this land will any problem will arise can any one help me in this Regard

It should be OK if you get vacant possession prior to settlement.
You must immediately occupy the property.

Check if the cancellation of the lease relay done by the previous lessee.

No harm in investigating who and where is the former lease now and why was the lessee canceled after going thru the process of registering the lease.
