Default WARNING!railway track extension beyond tambaram.

This thread is to warn prospective buyers against buying flats or land abutting railway tracks beyond tambaram as i have inside news that railways has already decided to increase the number of tracks beyond tambaram an extension of 75metres on either sides.

hence anybody looking at projects touching the track please think twice.

buy projects which are atleast 150 metres away from the track

the railways is still giving NOC for projects abutting the track as they say only after announcement of the extension we will stop giving NOC.

remember NOC means on date they are not extending or acquiring.

they generally insist 30 m from building line for current approvals of buildings but they say this would not be suff.

Hi, are they expanding tracks outside the city (after Tambaram station) or areas between Egmore and Tambaram as well?

they are shifting the egmore terminus to tambaram(later) and hence the no of tracks needs to be increased to accomodate train parking.

and addition of new lines for more traffic.

it is always advisable to avoid projects touching the track.
