DLF bags Durgapur project
Real estate company DLF has bagged Durgapur Township Project in West Bengal which is a public-private partnership model that would attract investment of up to Rs 4,000 crore.
The project would have co-operative housing plots, residential complexes for low, middle and high income groups, bungalows and commercial complexes and retail space. DLF would take four years to complete this project. DLF plans to use solar lights, rain-water harvesting, water recycling plant and a sewage treatment plant in the township as part of its environment protection measures. Besides the Durgapur project, DLF is also developing about 5,000 acre township, a textile SEZ, two IT parks and hotels in Kolkata.
