K. P. Singh’s impeccable sartorial sense would make fashionistas duck for cover. He does not step out of his house unless his shirt, suit, tie and handkerchief are coordinated to the last seam. His shirts are from Turnbull & Asser ( Jermyn Street, London) and his ties are Burberry. His sharp suits are made by his personal tailor in Connaught Place, whom he had given a Savile Row- tailored suit to copy 20 years ago. Since then, the tailor has never let the real estate czar down. When his wife was seriously injured in a helicopter accident that killed four passengers on board, Singh devoted himself entirely to her care for two years. After she bounced back, he makes sure she goes out to play golf with him thrice a week. Singh loves to go on holidays to London. And he’s the honorary consul general of Monaco, whose long- serving ruler, Prince Rainier III (better known as Grace Kelly’s husband), he had befriended during a vacation in his enclave. He owns the Gulfstream GIV, one of the world’s best- selling business jets. Singh’s son, Rajiv, is an alumnus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His daughter Pia, who leads DLF’s mall and cinemas business, is a Wharton economics graduate Ram MumbaiProperties Last edited by Pinnacle; 07-03-08 at 02:20 PM. Reason: Typo Error |
