A plot of 8 acres on national highway of jalandhar was sold to DLF for an astounding Rs. 88 crores by a recent property dealer. Of course, the land is one of the prime locations in the state. It is near MC Donald's outlet on the outskirts of jalandhar.
DLF tends to set up a retail mall on this location.It is important to mention that the value of this land wasn't as high till about few years back. The land aquired by seller few years back (2001) at Rs. 50 lakh per acre. He sold large part of it some years back at Rs. 1 crore per acre, which in itself 100% appreciation. But, the sale of remaining land to DLF recently has bought him phenomenal 2,100% gain!. |

all bull shit, many people may have gained from the deal. The prevailing price still on this place is no more than Rs. 6-8 Crores per acre. The site is very close to the Ansal Plaza, which has miserably failed. Jalandhar is still no place for shopping malls, in view of the low population and the attitude of the people. No one likes to drive 10-12 Kms out of the town for shopping, may be 20 yrs from now there project could be successful.
