Smile FARIDABAD METRO- News, Prospects for Faridabad Property

Hi
Greetings

All suspicions, fears, uncertainities, speculation can now rest
http://www.delhimetrorail.com/tenders_civil.aspx

I am sure this is the beginning of good news for Faridabad. The most undervalued assets in the NCR or may be entire Haryana is now going to see a massive run upwards over the next 2-3 years.

Cheers

Hi BlessU,

Thanks for sharing this great news. Faridabad future is indeed very bright if one has the patience and holding capacity. I know not many people would agree with me on this.

Anyways Enjoy your drinks. You are drinking too much these days (through funnel).

Cheers!!!

Ravi

BlessU, Thanks for sharing this great news!!! Any idea if the alignment of metro has been decided? I guess earlier there were issues in deciding from which side of road would metro would be coming.

Hi
Greetings

All issues are now rested and frankly I would not be bothered whether METRO is coming in the centre right or left side of the mathura road..

Now the civil works tender being floated is a big thing as it is a major cost of the total project cost.. Therefore nothing can change in the plan so just be happy that the issue is resolved and now need to wait for 20 months from OCT 2011 and thereafter another 6 months for the track and other engineering stuff.
This stretch can however be completed earlier as there are no litigations presumable. Also the topography and land relief is not undulating..

Few news items are reproduced here for your reference..

Its a great news for Faridabad.

But Neharpar is still a worrysome .... any metro station would not be less than 3.5 to 4kms from there

You are absolutely right.. about 5 min or 2.5km from bptp bridge.. not bad actually for dirt free, temp controlled, fast and comfortable journey into delhi/Noida.. Better than own car travel. Will be able to park car and ride to Badarpur or Apollo or Okhla or further ahead at a cheap price as well..

Biggest problem with Greater Faridabad is the lax attitude till date by Haryana Under Development Authority for not having sorted the sector roads and another bigger evil is the contant reminders for increased EDC and non delivery by builders.

Most of the projects are stuck and not getting delivered.

Metro is a big respite in the gloomy scenario due to which Faridabad RE is cheaper than most other small towns in Haryana

Cheers

Thanks all for sharing more details. This is indeed great news and should push Faridabad RE to some extent.
Hope the EDC increase gets stay from court on 6th sep in the case filed by GFWA and finally HUDA wakes up and starts doing development with already collected crores of rupees in name of EDC.
