The State Revenue Department is set to kick off the first phase of its public auctions of government land recovered from encroachers in Bangalore Urban District, from April 25 to 30(barring April 29, Sunday).
On five days, more than560 acres of encroached government land —spread over Bangalore North, North (Additional), South, East and Anekal Taluks — will come under the hammer.
Survey number 93 in Yalachiguppe Village in Bangalore South Taluk —at 33 acres and 20 guntas —will be the largest piece of land to be auctioned in the five days. Stretches of encroached land that were taken back under the recent recovery drive of the Revenue Department will be auctioned.
The Revenue Department had in December last year raked in around Rs20.47 crore by auctioning four scheduled government lands in Bangalore North, South and East Taluks.
The auctions will be held in the premises of the Deputy Commissioner, Bangalore Urban District, KG Road.The auctions will start at11 am on all the five days.
