Hi,
I would like to know what does a tenant usually look at if one has to rent a flat in Mumbai. What are the basic amenities? Should the flat be completely furnished like refrigerator, TV, beds, washing machine? The list could be endless But what are the basic amenities that usually tenant will look for? thanks |

Different strokes for different folks. I have seen just starting young bachelors can take even unfurnished/almost raw with some storage facility and electric fittings and Fans. Families require wood work in Kitchen for sure. In bedroom too some storage or wood work required. Then there are a few who required furnished and of course you will get more for that. According to me best bet is to have just woodwork/chimney/curtain rod/fan and no furniture - you will be having more taker as families will be having their own furniture too. r |

Unfurnished: Tubes and fans in each room, geyser (water heater), and plumbing in working condition.
Furnished: TV, sofa, beds, and the demands can be endless. For each item worth 10,000 you provide, increase the rent by at least Rs. 100. |
