Guys, Times Of Indian has warned clearly - Stay Away from Real Estate.
Now what about RE Bulls? some guys from Chennai were betting heavily on rise of RE in 2010. |

Here is the link.
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/b...ow/5418120.cms 'Real estate not long-term bet' — these are the words of wisdom offered by investment consultants to the clients now. They are also warning their clients, who are still optimistic about the prospects of the sector, to tread with ‘‘extreme caution.'' Worse, of late, even some mutual fund managers have joined the chorus, questioning the veracity of the claims of a turnaround made by realty firms. The news comes at a time when most real estate players are claiming that they have turned the corner with many firms lining up with initial public offers (IPOs) in the coming months. |

I believe that RE has a good longterm potential (again at the 12%-13% CAGR level) though growth potential will be very muted next 2-3 of years because of the global turmoil, including excessive Indian borrowing which will put pressure on all assets. This will, incidentally provide a very good opportunity to buy RE at a bargain when the disruptive global event happens ... cheers |

Corporate have started hiring people like mad and that too with exhorbitant salaries!!! This is definitely going to impact the reality sector in a positive way. The prices are going to go up for sure !!! Even if they don't go up they are going to stay put. So i fell its going to be a good bet to invest in reality sector ..but proper selection is a must.
