Selling price of a house - Indian Real Estate Forum

Is there anyway we can find a selling price for the house?
Are there any details publicly available?

There is a site called as zillow(dot)com (Currently works well in US only)

you can search for a particular house and find the following details

Current estimate of the house.
The size of the house in sq ft. and number of beds bath in the house.
The last sold price of the house and how many times it has been sold.
Nearby Schools.

Are any of these details publicly available in India. If we can get these details publicly, it would be nice to make a site with these details. It would give an opportunity to make the RE business in India more transparent.

Indian market is mostly Broker/Agent driven. Not a customer driven. If broker says that tomorow XYZ is happening in that area then we all start increasing the price.... So it is difficult to find the exact value.

lets consider the white money only .. doesnt that need to be published to the government mentioning the price at which it is sold... ?

If the GOVT rate is 500rs then the outside or actula rate is 1000rs.
But you can register/give stamp duty as per GOVT rate.
