Default Photocopy of Legal Documents ( NOC , GDA Approved MAP etc)

All ,
My brother is planning to buy a flat in RNE and we are in the process of finalizing it.

After Yesterday's happenings in Indrapuram , we tried to get the photocopy of the documents ( NOC , Approved Map etc) but builder said he can show all the original documents but can not give the photocopy of the same due fear of misuse.

HDFC is already disbursing the home loan for this project.

My question is , is a valid point by builder that he can not give the photocopy of these documents ?

I am not naming the project to avoid biased reply.

Please suggest.

Builder may not give you big photocopy..... but if they are showing it then better to go there with any expert/legal person and verify that at builder office.... your main aim should be verify MAP/Approval/Plan/Layout/Sector Road/.... by any expert not to just get photocopy.

Thanks Saurabh for the quick reply.
Can you please suggest some legal experts in Ghaziabad whom I can take with me along ? If HDFC is approving the loan what are the chances that there can still be some glitches in the project.

Technical update for this project @HDFC is Ready for possesion.

Per builder they are yet to apply for completion certificate.
