Default Which Direction plot is considered better?

Keeping other things constant, which direction plot is considered better out of these 4 options - NE(North East), NW (North West), SE ( South East), SW (south west)?

Can you please rank these four directions?

Hi Jai_Singh,
You didn't rank all the options; can you please? :-).
As you know, I have been searching for last 3-4 months. It looks so close to closing the deal and yet so far, due to various reasons. I'll share my experience in detail, hopefully in few days.

i'm no vastu expert so i cant say something in details.
But what i know that people in this part of country prefer any direction which has north attached to it.

NE is the most prefered direction, followed by NW. actually people want to see the rising sun and avoid sunlight in noon due to hot weather.

Personally i prefer, NE direction with south side open to get morning sun and some part of housing getting sun light throughout the day while other part being relatively colder.

pleople in south india prefer south direction. even tamples there are south facing.

Is this order based on some Vastu or market preference?

Actually brokers told me that NE comes first and NW second as far as preference of buyers in concerned in NCR.

This is based on Vaastu.

2ndly, I ranked the four options given in the question. If we consider the proper directions viz N, E, S and W, then N and E are equally preferred, followed by South and lastly, West.

Actually speaking South is also a good direction, and can be quite beneficial depending on where exactly the main gate is located along the South side.

Since, both East and North are equally preferred, hence, NE is preferred as well.
The characteristics change if it becomes NW instead of North proper and SW instead of proper East or proper South.

I have limited idea of vaastu principles based on which have written above...rest, a Vaastu expert can enlighten us better.

Apologies for my novice question ... how do we define FACING of plot?

If the plot is of regular shape (square or rectangular), you have all the flexibility to place kitchen or bedroom to their desired direction .. so how does it matter?

What am I missing?

gharondabhai,
Facing simply means front of a plot/house. I am more interested in generally accepted view rather than technicalities of Vaastu. What's your preference? Please rank all four.
