Default Noida Extension-Unfair to Greater Noida

Its very surprising to see that the Noida section of this website is filled with queries and discussions about Greater noida sectors (So called Noida extension)..making it the hottest section, whereas all those discussions should have been in Greater Noida section. just an indication that even though greater noida is the Hottest selling area in NCR Today..where people are lining up to buy in its sectors...Its noida which is taking all the credit and name.
The brand value of the city is suffering because an investor who hasnt got much idea about the area feels that its Noida which is hottest selling today...and on the other hand it gives an impression to a person that Builders, brokers, etc are trying to avoid the name "Greater noida" and why does one want to do that ??::It may look like that because Greater Noida has a bad name or reputation in the market:
Its very unfair for the city:::that inspite of being the hottest selling area in NCR::its not helping its brand value:
On the other hand if all the builders had simply used he word "Greater noida":::it would have immensely beneiftted the City of Greater Noida in its Brand value:

Call a spade a spade:::why give fancy names:::
If thats the case::then noida sector 14, 15A should be called maharani bagh extension...or something like that...

You are right dude for the analogy, however when one says 'Greater Noida', immediately you have the perception of Pari Chowk all the way via ExpressWay which is a dampener, which is why 'Noida Extension' got clicked as a term. This kind of builds an impression of going to Greater Noida but via Sectors 50,121 and so on which gives some comfort to the minds. Its all about the physchology and of course the prices .I think this link road has turned around the fortunes of GN.

Noida Extension is a correct term. If one simply use the term greater noida in place of noida extension, all the credit will go to main part of greater noida city, i.e. Pari chawk, sector alpha, Beta, Gama, zeta, etc...

and will not be helpful for the new sectors of greater noida.

Because, Noida Extension is in continuation of noida, so any development in noida will directly affect the development of noida extension.

but it is not true in the case of greater noida.

Well, Gnoida authorities have undertood the goof up and have directed all builders to Use the actual city name..Greater noida....

But coming to your thought, i am not convinced at all:

1. "so any development in noida will directly affect the development of noida extension."...does that mean that any development on Greater noida expresssway (which will for sure see all the action in Noida...IT Parks, Metro, etc)..will effect "so called noida extension"...No way...It will not...
The sectors which are adjoining this "so called noida extension" are the most under developed sectors of noida...the main development in noida is taking place on noida expressway....so going by your logic..."so called noida extension" will NOT only lose the advantages of developement of greater noida (which you claim to be around pari chowk only)...but also Noida..becoz the max development will take place on noida expressway...and "so called noida extension" is far from the expressway

2. Jaypee will have Formula1 indian grand prix in Greater noida..but because its so far from pari chowk..(nearly 18 kms)..does it mean Greater noida will not benefit from it ????...what about gautam buddha university and tech zone area..on yamuna expressway....just becoz they are far from pari chowk...are they not a part of Greater Noida ???

The demographics of a city are NOT LIMITED to ones imaginations...

If sector 15A of noida borders delhi...then sector 61 borders ghaziabad..and sectors 78 etc near bhangel villages are near greater noida..are they not noida...???...

Similarly Greater noida extends from these "so called noids extension" sectors to Boraki (where plan is to make a railway station)...to Yamauna expressway where Jaypee making F1 Track...and tomorrow my friend...if the airport is passed..then that will also be in Greater Noida..not Agra extension becuase its far from pari chowk.

I am glad gnoida authorities have realised this and dont be surprised to see a BIG GREEN BANNER on hindon bridge when entering this "so called noida extension"..."WELCOME TO GREATER NOIDA"..the way u see on expressway and on dadri road...

cheers

NOIDA is an abbreviation of New Okhala Industrial Development Authority

If it can be NEW OKHLA [NOT THE ACTUAL NAME OF THAT AREA WHAT EVER IT WAS]

Then why, New sectors of Greater Noida can't be

NOIDA EXTENSION.

Pl. explain

If you have a property in noida then what do you wirte ..."New Okhla" ????...

A citys image is created over a period of time. Have you ever been to pune ???..but still you know that there is some good developement like lavasa, etc there....thats the impact of media.

Investors are not sitting in Noida property dealer shops knowing each and everything about the city. See the forums there are hundreds of queries about simple sectors...which everyone knows about..but the investor who is willing ot invest doesnt have a clue about.

If an area is succesful in the city..it has to bear the naem of the city....
Can you even think of saying Film city, NOIDA is in "NEW OKHLA"....or sector 18 malls like GIP are in NEW OHKLA...why not..because it will take the imagie of the city..people who have not much idea about Noida will start assuming its in Delhi.

Similarly Noida extension is NOT Noida ..its simply Greater Noida.....the appartmenst are selling like hot cakes...but people around India and indians who are willing to invest in india..when read it in media..think its Noida....

Look at this forum only...nearly 50-60% threads on Noida are about Greater Noida new sectors...they should have been in Greater Noida...

Thats the impact i ma talking about....which gladly the authorities have understood...and I am certain that one fine day the autrhorities will put up their patent "WELCOME TO GREATER NOIDA" Banner at the hindon bridge...to remove all confusion

Dear

Pl tell me why we use term "NOIDA" [NEW OKHLA INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY] not the name of actual area as it was.

If the name of NOIDA is acceptable then what is the problem with NOIDA EXTENSION?

In future it will be famous by NE only.

It is public who will decide either Noida Extension or some other term.
