Default Home Loan Rates Comparison

Banks and NBFIs are offering home loan rates which increases within 3 months of loan commencement. All loans offered are teaser rates.

I would like to start this thread so that everyone can provide details so that others can learn.

I have posted mine below:

Bank/NBFC: LICHF
Loan Commencement Date(approx): Dec 2006
Current Rate being charged:11.65%
Current Rate being offered to new customers(if known):10.4%

Request everyone to reply with the required information only.

That 10.4 will become 11.65 in 3 months.

BTW, my old case.

LICHFL
Loan taken : Feb2008, rate 10.25.
CURRENT: 11.65.
Good, not much fluctuation. Bad, never went down.

I was looking for a thread like this one. We should provide hard data which will be clear for anyone who wants to take a loan. Here are the interest rate changes for HDFC from whom I had a loan and suffered for a long time.

DEC-2005 7.50
MAR-2006 8.00
JUN-2006 8.50
SEP-2006 9.00
MAR-2007 10.25
JUN-2007 10.75
MAR-2008 10.50
SEP-2008 11.75
MAR-2009 11.25
JUN-2009 10.50
SEP-2010 11.00
DEC-2010 11.75
MAR-2011 12.25
JUN-2011 12.75
SEP-2011 13.25

Everyone should contribute to this thread with only this info from different banks. Forget teaser rates, starting year rates and what not. Once the customer comes into his net, the interest rates hardly come down.

Default Builder is asking me to take loan from LIC Housing Finance

Hi,
I've booked an apartment in Begur Road, Bangalore. The project is approved by LIC housing finance, Can fin Homes and SBI. Although i'm willing to go to SBI, the builder is very much against it, he says LIC is very fast and can sanction the loan in 1 week. But LIC's interest rates are very high.
it says fixed for 1st 3 years at 10.7% and after that its floating. But it's floating rates are very high at 11+ or 12+ %
