Which is best option for housing finance ? LICHF or HDFC.

8.75% of LICHF is only for first 3 months and then prevailing PLR with spread of 2.5% is applicable fpr loan duration.
Where as HDFC is 9.5% and then prevailing PLR with spread of 4.5% for loan duration.

Those having experience may kindly suggest????????????????

you would have to do the sums for both the loans - what is the PLR for LIC and HDFC. It does seem that HDFC is a lot more expensive but you would also have to take into account the other expenses/charges attached to the home loans (i.e. early repayment clause etc etc).

Ask the banks for a comparison rate which should include all charges and then provide you with a rate.
