The city police have registered a case against two employees of a real estate firm for reselling nine flats, which had been already booked by a different buyer, with the help of fake documents.

Gopal Das, one of the victims, had reported the matter to the police and lodged a case against Unicorn Real Estate Private Limited.

He said that eight investors had booked flats with Unicorn and had paid about Rs81 lakh to the builder, including extra charges for a late booking of Today Homes in October 2010. They were promised possession of their property on time.

A case has been registered against Unicorn employees Gajender Nagpal and Nikhil Nigam.

While one of the buyers had bought two flats, the others had booked on each. Each investor had paid about Rs9 lakh as the booking amount.
However, despite repeated requests later on, the builder was not able to give them possession of their flats. So, they requested the builder to return their cheques.

After many difficulties, the builder did return the cheques but all of them were dishonoured.

The complainants then went to the police and the case was given to the crime branch.

Meanwhile, the driver of known Gurgaon builder allegedly fled with Rs1.75 crore in cash on Monday evening.

Mewat resident Jagmal, 32, had been working with the builder for the past seven years. He had gone to Rohini to get a payment from a society. He went missing when he was coming back to Gurgaon with the money.

According to police officials, he had started from Rohini at 5pm on Monday evening and then disappeared. The police are on a lookout for Jagmal and the Toyota Corolla car he was driving.
