If a son or daughter has the property with his or her parent jointly listed on the sale deed but the son/daughter makes all the EMI payments , then can both of them split the rental income and expenses on their tax returns? Or it always the person who makes the EMI payments - only he has the right to include any rental income/expenses associated with the property on his tax returns?
