Question Wanting to Buy an Apartment in Powai - Mumbai

Apartment in Powai - Members Please Advise!

Hello Folks, I am new to this forum. Just joined today.

I have shifted to Mumbai and have been hearing great things about Powai. But as I am new to this area, I have no idea where to start my research.

What sort of builder’s projects are available? Any reputable ones? My budget is 1-1.50 cr.

Thanks for the help.

I agree you are new to Mumbai. Else you would be buying in Powai with 1.5C

Start with the usual suspects:

1.
2.
3. Local agents and brokers

You "may" get a 2BHK in Hiranandani Powai at 1.5cr. You'll most likely get a 3BHK for that kind of money everywhere else in Powai.

My order of preference:

1. Hiranandani
2. Lake Homes
3. Raheja Vihar
4. Nahar Amrit Shakti

There are several other builders with single buildings that are not part of a cluster. Not too sure about them, haven't researched them so don't know.

Best of luck!

I have been in Mumbai for almost four months and I am renting an apartment in Bandra west. Though its is considered to be the queen of suburbs and has a great buzz about it, I couldn't find a spacious accommodation since I would be living there myself. I also checked out a couple of apartments in Andheri west but it is too cluttered.

From what I have heard and read about Powai, it has a nice quality of life and has affordable spacious flats within my budget (the shoebox apartments at Bandra west are too claustrophobic).

I have found out about two popular developments-Hiranandani and Lake Homes. I would appreciate some inputs on that or any other suggestions regarding my buying option at Powai. Thanks!

Raheja vistas! 7200-7500.
I do not much like hiranandani, lake or nahar. Nahar has to many nris investors so you may get a better deal there.
Stay put at Bandra. As regards spacious flats, it is a problem all around Mumbai. carpet aread < built up area < super built up area.
Of the four listed, only Hiranandani is spacious but then you pay a huge premium for it.
If you want luxury then rather choose kanakia samparpan royale (although in borivali)

Well Hiranandani will be very expensive.. Lake Homes is decent.. but the builder claims he is sold out and only got a couple of 2 BHK's..
Nahar should be avoided.. if possible..
Rahejas vistas is a good option..

Bandra (w) is just for the pin code.. small houses.. very expensive..
See every area in Mumbai has some +ve's and -ve's
why don't u rent a house in Powai.. and then look.. u will get a feel of the area while you look..

good advice sharp mind.
Rohaus keep renting till you get bored of Mumbai and try to run away from the rush. (But it is not easy. You are in the vicious trap of Mumbai.)
