Dear all,
Can somebody please tell me where the money received from rent of a flat can be deposited in what account in India? I know an NRI cannot open a regular savings account. So can he deposit the rent amount received for his flat in an NRO account, if so is the amount taxable on the interest or on the whole amount? Appreciate your answer on the above question.

The Supreme Court supported the ban imposed by New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) on construction of multi-storeyed buildings in Lutyen's Bunglow Zone in the heart of the capital. It said it is important to protect the green character of this zone.
