Default Bad experience with Gardenia Glory and the agent

Hi All,

Let me share our not so good experience with Gardenia Glory and our agent through which we had booked.

We had booked a flat with gardenia Glory in Sept last year via an agent.
This year in March we received allotement letter in which they had changed our flat to some other building facing the school.
We were not informed about the change neither from our Agent nor from the Gardenia guys.

When we approched our agent he says Gardenia guys should have informed us and when we confronted Gardenia guys, they said they had informed the agent and the agent in turn should have informed the customer about the change.

We told gardenia that we didn't like the new alloted flat and that we would cancel if they did not provide us with any other option.
They kept delaying the matter for more than a month and finally said there were no options available.

We went ahead and cancelled our booking. Now was the turn for getting back the booking amount. In that too the agent and the Gardenia guys took almost a month to settle the amount. Thankfully we got the entire amount back from Gardenia after a month.

After this experience, we decided we would not book a flat with Gardenia guys again. This goes same for the agent as well.

Many buyers have experienced this kind of problems with builders mainly due to multiple agents marketing the project.

As a matter of precaution when ever one pays token amount, one must insist for a receipt with booked flat number clearly written on it.

How many times in a year do you book flats? (this is saying we will not book again thru the agent or gardenia).

The point is can you prove that a particular flat number had been commited to you? If yes send them a notice. Also its a lame excuse that the agent was informed... the cheque is in the name of Gardenia, the allotment letter comes from Gardenia so why should gardenia not inform you directly!

Default Bad experience with Gardenia Glory and the agent

When I read SSS3200's experience I thought It is written by me. I also had the same experience from Gardenia for glory project wherein they had committed a particular flat in a particular apartment in writing in the application form in September 2009 and then I recieved a allotment letter letter in April 2010 which says a different tower. This is a case of cheating the customer. What is the remedy? I too had asked my money back though there was no response from them. After several e mail now they told me that they are sending the cheque. How to teach such builders a lesson and demand compensation.

Your writing flat/tower no. in your application is not enough. if you have gardenia ackowledement/receipt with flat/tower no. on it, you can take gardenia to court including consumer courts and seek compensation.

I am getting a re-sale 3 BhK apartment in Gardenia Glory, but not sure about the current rates and construction status? So, how is it going on?

Thanks

while making such a big investment, do take pains to personally visit the site. Would cost you a little time and money, but save you future troubles. A stitch in time saves nine.

I am interested in the project but the builder told me that no inventory was available and even brokers did not have anything to sell. what kind of rate is going on at present (all inclusive) and what payment plan? is the project delayed or going as per schedule?
