As per Zee News, Today scheduled meeting of Group of minister didnt approve Greater Noida International & Domestic Airport due to Huge difference of expected public & commercial load in Greater Noida Airport in State government & Center Government report, so they made one Panel which will give report of accurate expected public & commercial load within 3 month then they will give approval if things will be positive.

I don't want to change the topic, but let's assume Metro is going to come in every pocket of Noida but When????

It was supposed to complete airport link 2 months back, but still no show, probably because games are gone so no hurry....

And then i heard there were some plans related to phase 3, then phase 4 and then probably further development in Noida

So don't you think we should leave this topic to be discussed between our kids, when they would grow up????

When do you think the all the further specified work related to Noida Metro would finish?

well if you have done some research, you will know.

1. trials and safety inspections are going on airport link and it will open in 1-2 months time , when they are satisfied with everything
2. phase 3 and 4 are still in planning stages and noida-GN link is not covered in them
3. in fact if GN metro comes up it will not be constructed by delhi metro, some private company will construct and operate it. noida and GN authorities are in process of finding then,that is clear as of now. now you may argue that those private companies will never be found. but they are not dependent on plans of delhi metro.

Agreed and definately if this city would grow further, transportation line would have to be spread to connect every corner, they just won't have any reason to leave noida, greater noida and spread metro web everywhere else.

But our investments are dependent on 'when'?

If after 50 years Metro is present in every pocket of Noida and Greater Noida, that won't have any use to me ( probably i would be dead by then ), what i'm seeing is max 10-15 years down the line.

How much time you are looking at and would there be metro connecting your wishfull locality in that time frame?

10-15 yrs ? If you have this horizon, don't worry then. It would be there by then and may be even before than that.

Infact 10-15 yrs down the line, there would be more better tranportation system not only interms of metro. 10-15 yrs is a long time, by that time, Noide extension would be fully operational as well...!!

only planning going on right now is from noida to GN through expressway. authority is saying they will complete it by 2012, my thinking is situation will be clear in next 6 months. if contracts are awarded next year, metro should be ready by 2013-14. for rest of the pockets in noida, its only a pipe dream and any investment decision should not be based on that.

I feel G.Noida metro through expressway can be completed a lot earlier.

Firstly, there would be no land acquistion issues. Not much shifting of facilities would be required & traffic management would not be a problem.

Yes, agreed that normal pace of Metro progress is very good and delay occurs due to other issues like land acquisition etc, which is not required in this case. But, considering that this is long route & work is yet to start, minimum 3 years may be required to complete this. So in my view, 2013 is resonable target for this.
