Does any body have any news about how many exits and entrances these people are planning to have on the expressway.
I am seeing them starting the construction just ahead Maha-???Maya Flyover. |

I did not see the construction of toll booth when I went there last week, but as you are saying they would have started it..
Although I was of the opinion that toll booth would be build at greater noida end of expressway. This is a bad news for expressway flat owners. They have started the widening of road by filling the gap between service lane and the main expressway for around half kilometer.
I also see some construction material there. But it will take some time to know if it is exactly a toll construction or something else. I thought it is known to everybody that what decision is made by the govt. about tolling the expressway. I will update once I see some real construction of toll gates. |

The problem here could be if they will make toll booth ahead of the sector 137 then they will not keep any exit from Express way to these sectors and in that case users will have to take the by lanes which will be at the max 2.
And considering the number of flats and population in that area in 2013 the 2 bylanes will not be sufficient and there bound to be jams and people in Jam will see people on express way speeding off to GNoida and sector 137, 143 people standing in jam.... But if the toll booths are at starting od Maha maya as mentioned by vsangal, then jam should not be a problem as spending 15/- for 1 trip should not matter much... ![]() Quote:

Most affected should be the Jaypee guys. There are now I think max two-three underpasses to cross the express way.
So seeing the number of flats jaypee is building the underpasses are going to be too jammed in near future. I worked adjacent to express way so I will keep the group updated about the construction. Frankly speaking it is difficult to state confidently that the construction they are doing is initial setup for the toll gates. Let's see. |

there was some article in Times Property this saturday regarding toll on eway. It did talk abt toll plaza on noida-gnoida route but if i remember they mentioned pari chowk and some place called kundli as places for proposed toll plazas..

If they create proper exits to sectors like 93, 137, 143 from expressway then toll should not be a problem to the residents as it is surely going to save a lot of time and petrol.

As per master plan, there is a 45m 4 lane wide road that would go on both sides of the expressway. That road does exist when you turn while coming from golf course to expressway. However, it just goes till the end of Sector-105 (and stops before the flyover cutting 108 and 93A). And then restarts from 93A ...
I dont have much idea about the Jaypee side of the road, but I agree with vsangal that crossing over to the other side will be a problem due to limited underpasses. Last edited by mobilizedport; 13-07-10 at 11:40 AM. |

News that came in last saturday in TOI.
Pay toll on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway from Sep 30 he Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will cease to be toll-free from Sep 30, the Uttar Pradesh government said Tuesday. The government, in a notification, has included the 21.5-km-long stretch into the toll road category. A car commuter will have to pay Rs.18 for the journey on the road. It also said the toll rate applicable on all toll roads in Uttar Pradesh will be on per-kilometre basis. A car commuter will have to pay Rs.0.80 paisa per km; a Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) owner will have to pay Rs.1.30 paisa per km, a bus owner will have to pay Rs.2.75 paisa per km, a seven-axle vehicle will have to pay Rs.4.30 paisa per km and heavy vehicle travellers will have to pay Rs.5.25 per km to travel on toll roads in the state. The Noida-Greater Noida Expressway would be clubbed with the Yamuna Expressway, which opens for commuters September 30, said Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO)-Yamuna Expressway Authority, R.K. Singh. Former state minister Nawab Singh Nagar, in a hurriedly called press conference, criticised the government’s decision and announced a mass agitation against the move. Nagar argued that the local farmers alongside the Expressway would be unable to bear the toll. The way to their farm lands would be restricted, and hence, they would oppose the move, he added.
