Default Buying property in US - for investment and rental income

Hi All,

Have been tracking the US real estate market online. Lots of houses, condos, available in the 100k - 200k range.

Does it make sense to buy an investment property in US? What I have found out is as follows:
Advantages:
1. The most secure property market in the best economy.
2. Having been to many areas in US, have an idea of where to buy.
3. All transactions possible online sitting in Pune
4. Professionals like lawyer, CPA, agent, do business by email.
5. Easy to rent out
6. RBI allows $50k per year to be remitted to US

Disadvantages:
1. Dont know how easy it is to get a home loan
2. Tenant management if giving on rent.
3. Locating properties online through websites and email communication.

I dont believe it is a good idea to buy a property in US for the rental income. Better you buy REITs from US/EU markets which actually move with the rise in the RE market and will provide you much safer way to invest, easy to manage and high returns compared to rental income....

What more you can invest it in slowly as and when you want...

But, this is only if you are bullish about RE market in these countries...

Default This is a very good time to buy in the USA

I have a lot of data on my blog that specifically answers your questions.

It's pretty easy to locate very good buys in the USA if you have the right contacts. There are very good buys now in California and Las Vegas - where properties have dropped over 50% and rents are headed up. Just look on my blog.

The RBI now allows up to $200k per year remittance.
