Default Renting your Property

Dear Fellow NRIs,
I would like to know what are some of the good methods of renting your property in India. We have a property that will be in our possession by end of 2011 (Hopefully).

We can ask our family in the city to look after the renting, and contract signing, but I would rather not burden them, and have a real estate management company do that for us, yes more expensive, but less dependence on family.

The property is in Pune, and is 2 bedroom apartment. What are your expereinces, and thoughts on whether we should provide some furnishings or not? I believe rental income is 10,000-12,000 per month for unfurnished, and furnished can yield 2000-3000 more per month.

If anyone has recommendations for estate agents in Pune, that are reliable and professional, please post here, or send me a private message.

Thanks,

Pune has become an IT hub, and a place fulled with students, and job seekers..there is very good chances of getting a handsome rate for renting your property.. you should consult with some good agents as well you can place an advertisement also on newspaper etc..and furnishing house can pay you 5000 + more.....

Hi,
Not sure where you live but we are a UK based India property services provider. Likewise you now have agents in other countries as well who liaise with local agents in India to provide you property management services. It just spares you from all the hassle of being there in India regularly for inspection checks. Also finding reliable tenants and safeguarding your interests as a Landlord.
