Durgapur - red hot for real estate development
Guys,
even though Durgapur ( DGP as some lovingly refer to it ) has always been a humming throbbing , well planned city . However, because of a lack of vision of the previous communist govts had failed to live up to its potential ! The new Chief Minister is doing his bit to attract fresh investments to the State and also gently nudging them to spread out and open up shop in the tier - II cities of the state - namely Durgapur , Shiliguri, Kharagpur and Kalyani ! DLF seemed to have taken that cue and has just landed a contract to build an integrated township in the heart of the city at a staggering investment of Rs 4000 crores ! This will anchor DGP firmly on the map of emerging cities where the next wave of real estate development will take place. |
