Right said.
Middle-class considers itself to be protector of culture. But mostly live meekly and ready to bend its back
You will see them fighting with bus-conductor or vendors for 1 Rs change but meekly bribe 50 Rs to police.

Look here man, the place where I used to stay earlier (during school days), the maid was there for 15+ yrs & yep, she too was like family one. The issue is not having superiority or inferiority complex (I too have driven cycle & my first salary was INR 3000/month, less than what our person who washes the cars make), so I have gone through all this.

Issue as Harish said is their general lookout. You simply go with your GF to upper Indira nagar, having power dressing & see the stares. Even now when I need to make a site visit for house search, I park the vehicle somewhere a bit far from the site & go very, very averagely dressed with Nok_ia 1110 handset (though some suspicion is there). If not, look at the stares you get from on-lookers.

No one is denying the fact that they are not less than humans, never would we disagree with that. But man, writing or saying as a social worker & doing it in real is far different. Add to it the stink which emanates from slum areas, you will feel dizzy if you get exposed a lot to it.

Btw, one of my friend had parked his Audi near Wadarwadi for less than 30 mins & the Audi's emblem got stolen. This doesn't mean that all residents of wadarwadi ae theives but the ratio of total population : criminals is high. You can even ask rickwalas, they won't take you in here easily.

To conclude:- Seen HNIs without principles, even sadistic wife beaters; poor people with good morals as well. But the fact is person may be good on individual level but collectively, it is not that case just like you may have burkha chap as a friend, but this doesn't mean one goes & stays at Kodhwa. Hope you got the point.

It is worth than the headache which you face otherwise. I would rather say pay 5k/month to bai but stay in area where anyone in your family can feel secure walking in & out at anytime of the day/night without any security escorts. Man, god forbid if even a small theft takes place or you can't move around freely, this savings is nothing to the loss which you then have to face.

Real, I did not get your point. You can have robberies in best places of the city.

Hmm, You finally see point in my post, but still don't understand it 100% Wonder what makes you feel its "unintentional"

I am not being idealistic here to say that slums do not cause ANY nuissance in the neighborhood.
The main issue where all this started was the MHADA housing near Aditya Garden and the one in Baner. Now keep in mind that these are NOT slums and just low cost housing projects. They will be just like normal standalone flats, much smaller in size and with only very basic amenities.
My only point is that don't discard some project JUST BECAUSE there is a MHADA project in the nearby area.

Well, this will be my last post on this topic here:-

SRA is different than low cost housing. In Low cost housing, people need to pay while these schemes are being built free of cost. The real scenario is murkier. The authority lies with slum rehab board, which again is under it's Ministry. These slum board members too take up some houses here under false names & then rent it out. This way only the tax payers money is wasted while the needy still remain where they are. What happens is that only those slum dwellers having some political affiliation tend to get the houses here. Man, would you like to see a drunkard fallen at the entrance gate of your house? Have dens behind?

Please differentiate SRA & low cost housing. I am against the former, not the later.

Default go for oval nest

Dont make mistake of buying flat here.Builder is pakka chor. He will strip you fully at the time of giving possesion letter in the form of maintanance, club house fees and what not. There r lot of hidden charges. Quality of construction is also poor along with small car parking.there is no municipal water line.worst is builder will not allow you to form a society.Oval Nest is better choice.
