Question Buying a flat....

Hi,
I have just moved in to Pune. Is it okay to buy a flat in a building without society? Building has 6 flats with 8 shops on the ground floor. The building-owner owns 4 flats(made a pent-house) and other 2 are owned by other out of which 1 is for sale. What all other things I should take care of ?
Please advice. The building is 10-12 years old.

If you have family (old-age parents and kids) then if does not make sense to buy in this society as it will have less play/common-areas. Besides, you may face nuisance of owner who uses more than half of flats.

Thanks hitmady! No kids. parents are fond of park for their yoga/morning walk. There is a park nearby. The building is right on the main-road. The owner is a good guy who just care about the maintenance charges which is less than 400/month. I am more concerned about the legal hassles if one has to go with this.

If ur still interested then can take a photo-copy of agreement from owner.
Check if flat carpet/terrace-area is properly mentioned & get it reviewed through legal-experts/banks.
You may get less % of loan for 12 yrs old flat.
