Default HDFC vs IDBI (for document verification)

Hi all..

This query is regarding availing loan from the banks.

Is it true that HDFC has a much better document verification system than IDBI.

Any experiences where HDFC or IDBI has not done proper verification and the buyers of the property has faced issues because of it..
Kindly share such issues as this would be very helpful while relying on any of these banks..

I can share 1 experience with HDFC. They passed a loan for one of my friends even though he had submitted a form 16 of someone else by mistake. I hope that is not the case with IDBI

Every bank has more or less similar verification process. Its all about the individual with whom you deal. There could be mistakes by any person who is working on your loan application. I personally trust more on Govt. Banks than private banks and hence got my pre-sanction loan approved by IDBI. Regarding Legal verification, I think IDBI is strict than HDFC.

I feel HDFC is the best in case of sanctioning and disbursement procedure. They have their standard procedures and sometimes they also consider special cases.
The reason why they have toppled ICICI bank to become India's largest private banking system
