Default Need of Regulatory body in Real Estate Sector

I personally feel that the way builders are sucking common people for real estate in India is going worse day by day. In pune itself i can see housing property rates doubled in last 2 years.

Like in Stocks sector SEBI is the regulatory body. In Insurance sector IRDA is the regulatory body. The same way there should be Regulatory body in Real Estate sector.

Builders are snaching your hard earned money in the name of house. They are asking exorbitent rates and making profit many fold.

Request you all, specially NRI and IT professional, not to pay exorbitent rates for housing property and wait for few time so that rates can be corrected.
Reply with your views on this so that finally we can post this to indian government.

Stocks and insurance are not the places for our great politicians to park their black money. Hence we have fancy bodies like SEBI, TRAI, IRDA. How can we expect people who have huge stakes in real estate to regulate it? It's a catch-22 situation

What media? TOI(let) or CNBC? They're a bunch of sellouts.

Why dont we plan a street ANDOLAN, I am in, if 50K people start a small MARCH, it would sure catch the eyes of Media and Congress?

Union Govt is working on creating a Real Estate Regulatory Authority for states. See the link

May be it will take good amount of time since there would be lot of pressure on Govt from builders lobby and politician's lobby

They have been saying this for the past 7 years, but the poitician-builder nexus is not letting this happen. We really need to be vocal or come out on streets - make a andolan or something which will make this issue discussed and pushed...Maybe write a combined "letter" to PM or Sonia would help?
