Default Paying Money for Water and Basic Aminities

Hi All

Just wanted to share a thought. I saw many threads where people were saying they are paying for houses worth 50 L and yet their is water problem. Lets be honest about it. Apart from giving you a PMC and boaring well connection the builder will not and in most cases cannot give extra water supply. While you can ensure that you buy a flat in an area which has PMC of PCMC connection, their is nothing more you can do.

If its not raining, no one has water. The only exception to this is places which have strong political affiliations. Thus while entire hadapsar was dry, Magarpatta has a decent water supply. Rumors were that Lavasa had abundance of water through the summer.

One thing is for sure. Water is not a treasure of the rich. If it continues to be the same for some more years, people will actually forcefully break into such places and physically fight for the right to water. So even if we have projects which boast for 24X7 water, lets use it judicially.

Also remember money does not buy everything. Water will soon join the likes of Peace of mind, love, happiness, and other such stuff.

One thing that India should fear a lot is a wide social unrest.. due to the increasing differences between the poor and the rich.
As interestingly pointed out and maybe rightly too... if the basic necessities are hogged by the rich.. the poor and maybe even the middle class might have to fight for the basic rights and this might lead to a huge unrest.

Who is responsible for this? We as a nation. Just joining all the rivers in the country will solve the problem of floods in east & drought in north & west.

Another factor is the population. There is a limit to what the nature can take. There are some who simply marry multiple times & produce like cockroaches! There should be additional provisions like no voting rights for people having more than 2 children, no ration etc.

Maybe few years down the line, a satellite image of the country will look like swarm of ants!:p

We collectively are responsible. (including me).
If some ppl in powerful positions are not doing their work properly... we are the ones who are quite on the pretext that.. "What can an common man do?".. So we collectively as a socienty are responsible.

I think problem here is Democracy....Coz according to democracy 100 Donkeys can defeat 99 lions..

So, when you say we are responsible, then just think that , "99 we" ( I mean educated middle class) will be defeated by "100 They"( illiterate & selfish ppls)...This is the fruit of democracy...we still have population of "THEY" more than "WE" so, you tell what "WE" can do in this regard....

This is a topic of larger debate, but my friend what I mean to say here, democracy suits only those country where we have education level at least 70-80% like US & UK & democracy don't suit the countries where education level is less than 50% coz those illiterate ppls keep voting these useless ppls again & again on 100 rs note or a bottle of country liquor & "WE" always will be HELPLESS....

I am not biased but its necessary to say here, one party came to power for just 5 years & they had a plan to link all Indian rivers to tackle this water crises & other good plans (like linking all four corridors of India by better rad n/w & they have started work as well on this) & other party ruled for more then 55 years & never made such plans...Still "THEY" vote for later & "WE" always feel cheated...

In that case, collectively WE might have to change democracy.. or atleast try to change it.. Otherwise we might have to accept being ruled by the 100 Donkeys.

Default Gandhi are swines.

Rightly said Ashish,
BJP did a lot & I have seen their dedication personally be it Pokhran, infra or defense services. Even telecom revolution was done by BJP. The foreign diplomacy was much better & we came out of Russia shadow for first time.

Look how well Gujarat has developed. The Congress doesn't have anything to say against Modi besides Godhra, forgetting the 1984 Sikh riots.

Note that BJP (NDA) ruled with 54+ parties while Congress had complete majority in it's 55+ years of rule. Also, Congress has history of illicit relationships be it quaotrochhi or else.

The Gandhi & family has stocked their money in Macau. Dr. Kalam asked Sonai Maino not to become PM (no aatma ki awaz. Do they have aatma at 1st place?) There is much more which can't be put up here, but fact remains we were ruled by bunch of anti-nationals by glorifying the deeds (only good) of Gulabchand (nehru).

Btw, no one has Gandhi DNA in them. Gandhi name is used to fool public.

We have been ruled by Donkeys only in last 55 years...otherwise at the time of Indian independence China, Japan & Germany were almost there where we were (due to the effect of WW 2)....and even America was not in very well shape...

Now after almost 60 years, you see where other countries are & where we are.... We always say that we have made progress but other countries made better progress than us....We proud on our IT & dream that we can become superpower...So do you think a country with almost 500 million illiterate peoples can become superpower...we have been ruled by donkeys that the reason we are in this state...Some ppls try to change that but these donkeys changed them

As you said WW2,

I must say that I admire Adolf Hitler for single reason:- For hitting England hard. Had WW2 not happened, we still would have been working for Britishers.

This Mohandas Chap should have been hit in 1946 itself. We lost Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev becuase of this so called bapu.
This gulabchand had multiple affairs (with Britishers too) & gave rise to several bastards.
Sonia & Rajiv had fled country & then took refuge in Italian Embassy during 1971 war. Rahul (actual name is Italian:- Raul) was watching lawn tennis when Kargil took place.

Fact remains that people of this country will listen only on gun than votes.
