PCP, whats the verdict on the Power grid exit strategy? Sell everything on allotment? Or wait for a day or two and then exit?

What aboit MOIL, SCI and Hind Copper? Any opinions?
I know SCI and Hind Copper, sure value in SCI. MOIL i have to analyze. I would just take 1 IPO at a time, so lets see how much juice is left on the Power Grid table...and then look at the situation....

So, unless I take out my money in 1 IPO, I dont invest into another one. Also, I have strict policy of SELL on listing, as I am "speculating" here more than "investing", and DISCIPLINE is THE Word for speculation(not purely though otherwise I would have applied to every other IPO -- its important to do a research and then take the call).

Hmm, well atlteast I am up for 10-20% correction. I dont think the markets here will go below 15K, and anything from 15K to 25k is possible. I dont think the war will turn out into a "WAR"...and hence we are good from that end.

I am a bit worried about the Indian govt, as all the scandels MAY mean that we have a mid term poll. If such is the case, then we might see that 10-20% surely. I still dont think we are into crisis and markets seem well regulated, FII inflows is good, GDP growth is above 8%, so yeh, there are positivities and negativities...its important now that people stay with the blue chips and stay AWAY the mid-caps and small-caps..

Happy Investing !

Default First Target is 18800

I'd mentioned in another post a couple of weeks ago that 18800 Sensx and maybe 5600-5700 Nifty would be first targets for the coming decline.

It looks like the sun which was shining brightly just 2 weeks ago (and there was talk of 7000 Nifty) has gone behind dark clouds.

The surprising events of today has put more darkness in the clouds. The Irish Parliament is showing stiffer resistance to the Govt selling the country for the benefit of banks (once again Banks, which should take the risks, are corrupting politicians (IMF and EU) to bail themselves out with Irish taxpayers money).

So, this bailout is not a foregone conclusion and this is made worse by Germany coming out very vocally that they do NOT want to give any more German money to bail out foreign banks.

Then there is this Korean thingy which was good for a wild ride for the markets. Within 30 minutes, the Nifty 5900 put went from Rs.30 to nearly Rs.100 and came back to 30 again. Anyone in front of a terminal with some money in the markets would have made a killing. And when the Put peaked at 97, the 6000 Call which was Rs.6 then went on to rise to 24.

Theoretically a 20 times return for a sharp and perfect trader in 3 short hours! Otherwise, no one felt the short gale blow in the marketsas the shells went off in distant Korea!

Looks like the markets will be downward looking for this week and maybe flat for the next before starting to look up as the huge liquidity starts pouring in. OR, maybe it will sleep in Dec before waking up in Jan and rising thru Mar.

2011 is going to be a WILD RIDE for stocks. Enjoy!

cheers

Wiseman, you have been a bear since 16000 predicting it to go to 14000 or even 12000 levels. Please all this bear talk really has no meaning.

I dont "have" targets for the market, although I still believe it has enough capacity to bounce back... a 10-20% drop is the MARKET VOLATILLITY or the CIRCUIT FILTER IS AT 20%--- if one cant bear that, he shouldnt be in the markets.

Guys, STAY INVESTED, and BE POSITIVE....

Default Stay away from Banking stocks (PSU + Private)

LIC down 18% today and other PSU too ranging from 2% to 10%.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has unearthed a fake housing scandal that runs into crores of rupees. LIC Housing Finance, Central Bank of India and some private sector developers are involved in the scam.
On the back of this multi-crore fake housing loans scandal, the CBI on Wednesday conducted a nation-wide raid.
With regards to the same, senior LIC Housing Finance executives are being questioned along with a senior official of Central Bank of India. In fact names from Bank of India too may come into light. This, it is expected, will lead to several arrests

Stay away from Banking stock having HF in thr portfolio.

Thanks,
Jigar Shah
