Anyways, I am very hopeful that the markets are making the right moves to break the all time highs of 22K, so guys, please be a cautious bull - DONT LIQUIDATE Out OF EQUITY- BUT DONT BE TOO AGGRESSIVE AS WELL.

Also, go_ld is soon to break 20K, I really feel an idiot, I waited for 17K, when just bounched off from 17.5 to 19.5 now.

I think so yes, PSU banks and SBI subsidiaries are really available still at 5-10 kind of PEs, so there isnt much downside.

But, its prudent to first check the moving averages before jumping in at any price, but I believe there is still a good value left in all bank stocks.

But, of course, you need to stock specific, banks like Karur Vyasa has really doubled, and any more upside or value will really be hard to gain.

Stay away from banks that are in news I would say!

Mahindra Satyam books will be disclosed this month. It will be interesting to see what Anand Mahindra come out with. The stock can go either way. Keep watching.

, yeh, thats a big event, anways the two companies want to merge into one Tech Mahindra. I pity for Tech Mahindra shareholders - its the right to sell TechM and Satyam I think --- NOW. Satyam may break off for a day or two - but really, the business has really suffered.

Well, dont know, I dont think the swap ratios and all will be announced now, it would atleast take another 6 months. I think people lots of people would jump in and provide all their views, I just feel for the common investor to stay away.

Tech Mahindra's CEO was asked to resign recently and the VC is taking over as interim CEO... so it looks like instead of Satyam merging in TechM, it will be TechM merging in Satyam... it makes more sense as Satyam is already in a lot of business verticals whereas Tech Mahindra is only in Telecom ..

Any thoughts on the following on my "watch and buy on dips list"

1. g-old
2. Havell
3. Cromptom Greaves
4. Cadilla
5. Gail
6. Honey well
7. Shriram Transport
8. Exide
9. Mphasis
10. ILFS transport

PCP, if you can, tell me
1. Whether these are long term buys or not
2. To buy now or wait
3. Any dips are expected or are they all going to keep running up (all are up currently since I started watching)

Venky, too long a list to comment in detail.

1. g-old -- as esaid earlier, I would buy at 17K, however missed to buy as it bounched back from 17.5 to around 19.5K now, but definately is a buy around 17K.Now,its a big risk.
2. Havell - A good company but not a good stock, all the mid-caps like Havell and VOltamp have run their course in this rally and the right time to exit is now maybe.Sell.
3. Cromptom Greaves -- Well, its one of my favorite stocks and companies..simply buy at every dip, its the next L&T.Excellent for LT
4. Cadilla-Good company, good stock, wrong price -- I think you can hold this for now, but if it reached 300-400 kind of levels, its a sure buy.Good for LT

5. Gail - Good strong stock - much like a defensive delivering 10-15% per year.Hold for LT
6. Honey well -- Hold for LT
7. Shriram Transport -- Sell.
8. Exide - Buy and Hold for LT
9. Mphasis - Sell
10. ILFS transport - Sell
