Wanted : Info on water availability in various areas of Pune - Indian Real Estate Forum

Hi,

I am looking out for new and resale flats in Pune for a couple of friends and relatives. I want to know the availability of water in the following areas:

1. Baner, near Symantec
2. Baner village
3. Baner, Pan Card club
4. Baner, near Shroff house
5. Balewadi phata
6. Baner, near Hotel Sadanand
7. Baner, S shaped road connecting to Pashan
8. Pashan, road going to Sus village
9. Pimple saudagar
10.Pimple nilakh
11.Pimple gurav
12.Warje, Aditya garden city
13.Warje, near Warje naka
14.Ambegaon, on the highway

Hi

I don't think that people are taking this issue seriously and appears that they are happy with 'Tanker Water'.

To my knowledge most of the areas you mentioned are blessed by 'Tanker Lobbies' and there is a hidden resistance for new developments as regards to new water schemes from them.

Tanker water may be a Bore well Water which may not be suitable for household uses.

I always wonder why people talk only about rates and not about this absolute necessity i.e. PMC water apart from good roads and infra.PMC Water may become a scarcity in near future considering their lethargic plans.

If you ask me water rich areas ...those are zopadpattis all around which has abundent water supply and that too free of cost.

Dada, how about the area from Supreme Pallacio towards Sahil Serene? Particularly Mirabel, Supreme pallacio, Silver moon, sneh park society and tivoli.

First of all you need to buy a tractor to travel on this road & then a water tanker

. Man, if there are no roads, how do you expect water here especially when the land is infertile & hence has no groundwater either?

Either go to Sus road or proper Baner road upto Hotel Shivsagar. Rest all have water probs to more or less extent.

The Supreme pallacio ans silver moon guys have spoken about water issues, but claim that there is no dearth of ground water, well that does not solve our drinking water problem after all. But somebody around Shroff house told me that a pipeline has been laid and water comes once a day in the area around supreme pallacio. Do you think there is any truth to their argument?

I don't know about the laying of new pipeline to be frank but when I speak with the people staying in this area, they say that they are still facing water probs

. There is no use of laying pipelines (if it is true) with low pressure water for few mins/day.

As said before, I will let go one bedroom (if budget become insufficient to buy 3.5 BR) but buy at a place where infra is strong enough to give me good living atleast according to Indian sub-continent standard, else it is pure wastage of money. Better buy SLK & stay in service apartment rather

Btw, if there is good groundwater levels, why was this area never a farmland?

Man, just see around it looks more like desert complete with rocks. You can easily judge whether the land is fertile & holding water or not just by the color of the soil.

Exercise:- Look at area near Pancard & area near Amit Sapphire Park. You will come to know which area has more water holding.
