And this is exactly the reason I did not purchase in some outskirt areas like Wakad, Kharadi, Balewadi. People are taking risks in purchasing in remotest parts of the city. They must pay for their risks.

Thanks for this Info. Pune is now growing very fast, PMC could not restrict water supply leagly if the site is in its limit. It also depends on local political leader/party of that area. Bhusari colony is good example.

Water cuts in magarpatta city is back.
This means, no water will be provided, from 11am-5pm.

In India or atleast for pune its very true that "Infrastructure follows the people" . We always observer , first people move to some area then infrastructure like water , roads ,street light , electricity follows them.
This is very strange but its true.

I think builder is not the culprit . Actually this is liability of PMC. PMC should not give permission to the residential buildings where they can't provide the infra. Its PMC's responsibility that if its collecting tax from the people then it should provide infrastrucre . its ridiculous to get the Water affidavit from builder. he is there to do business not for some noble cause like society upliftment and all.
We should blame to PMC for all this mess. First they give permission to the builder by chargin hefty amount ( both black and white ) and then turn their back to the basic issues. So we people are always at receiveing end .

The builders & PMC, both are there to mint money. Many are crooks, some who are good get bogged down by political pressure because of influence of the builders. At the end of the day, what matters is:-
  1. How much did you earn,
  2. Is it going to help in winning elections.
If these things are met, Govt. will create infra even outside PMC. Eg. Lavasa.

We need to use this forum to raise awareness about multiple issues faced by consumers.

Today people buy a flat looking at only one factor: rate. Nothing else matters, like legal agreements, society, water, infrastructure, rent : price ratio.

Everything is justified away giving the reason that: I need to buy now, we will see about these things later. And of course, later, nothing can be done

In this thread, please post if your builder has given water affidavit for your society or not.
