Icon18 How to identify survey number

I came across a land at Coimbatore, where an area is divided into plots.
These plots have been sold to individuals and I'm looking to buy one such plot.
Is it possible to get the survey number from sale deed?
I see lots of SF number mentioned in the deed. Is this what the survey number is?
If not, how to get survey number of the plot I'm interested in?
In this case, the survey number is for the entire land (including all plots)?

Seems to be a peculiar problem ! If there is only one survey no. for the layout and suppose u are buying from a plot promoter.. he will subdivide the survey into plots and it will like 324/1, 324/2 etc.... the seller should have the solution for the problem !!
