Angry Mahagun India, Dheeraj Jain cheated me

I am an NRI staying out of India since last 10 years. I bought an apartment in Mahagunpuram of Mahagun India and have been putting my hard earned money in the flat since last 3 years. They were supposed to handover the flat one and half years back but they still say that construction is going on. When is it going to be completed? God knows but I never complaint!!!
Within these periods my dad was diagnosed with cancer and I spent a lot of money in his treatment but was unfortunate, I couldn’t save him. Regardless of this situation, I kept paying to them whatever I could as they were not at all ready to co-operate. I already paid more than 80% of the total amount of the flat without even knowing when I am going to see my home.
They never communicated or confirmed that they received any of my emails. When I went to their office, every time an unknown person pops up threatening that I have to pay money or he will cancel the apartment, creepy!! They do have a customer service department with a bunch of unprofessional people recruited through some loyal sources of Dheeraj Jain. They help to protect him from anything annoying that happens there quite often. Breathtaking customer service!! If you want to put your concern or you want to talk to someone responsible, better come out of their Noida office and talk to some road side vendor, you will feel better and comfortable!!!
After calling for several times and spending my international minutes I was blessed to speak with the so called GM of Mahagun India. She showed a better example of customer service granting me 10 days time to deposit 50% of remaining balance or she will cancel the apartment, WoW!!. Somewhere, I could smell their fishy brain wave as the property had gone up a bit and they could make more money if they somehow manage to fool 2-3 more clients in between its possession. By the time I made a Demand Draft and went to them within 3 days of given time, they say that the flat has been cancelled and email has been sent, WAF!!! That was the first correspondence I got from Mahagun India. I requested a lot but Dheeraj Jain and Co. was happy to use my hard earned money for almost 3 years and make profit of a little more by selling it to another client, Stingy!! Plunk customer service into a deep hole, money matters!!!
Dheeraj Jain wanted me to go for legal proceedings as he knew that I am not in India and by the time he can make more money by selling it to 3-4 more ingenuous NRI’s. Bring shame on him please!!!
I extremely regret myself not going through the several blogs on Mahagun’s true colors and learnt from my mistake……….Beware!!!! Don’t let Mahagun India fool you; there are better to choose from.

Really frustrating. The most important thing U already paid 80% of total cost & then they cancelled ur flat. Did U get back ur money. I would request U ( without hurting ur feelings) Can U scan some of ur documents specially 80% payment made & cancellation of flat mail Then after scanning post on this forum. This is not to doubt ur integrity but firmly warn the general public about such builder practices so it really hurts the builder.

Thank you for your concern Mr. Mohan. I will not be scanning and uploading all the documents at this point of time but to make it clear, it was more than 80%. Basic cost of the flat was little above 15 lacs and I had paid 10 lacs already + DD of 3.5 lacs that they refused to accept. I believe that they had already made their mind to make some money out of it. I never wanted to write the other story as people might think that I have been bought my SVP builder but I feel like I should write it. I booked a flat with SVP earlier in NH58 but changed my mind after 2 months. Went to their office somewhere on the main road in Ghaziabad and met some Jindal. Without even asking any questions, he asked some Sharma to prepare a cheque and give it to me. He said that in case you change your mind again please do come back. They were far more professional then this cheap builder without a vision. Coming back, the cancellation email was quite impressive, it says "your flat has been cancelled and cheque has been sent"

You need to raise the complaint against them in court. Darg them in court.
They can't cancel flat on this. They should have taken high rate of interest (18 to 20 pecent) in remaining amount or send some legal letters.

Complain to GDA/Court

Now a days it is a common practice of all so called reputed builders.

I have faced the similar problem 2 years back with m2k builder,i have paid 20% of bsp and rest amount have to pay by loan. but due to the documents are not completed from builder side.The bank delays 2-3 months the disbursment.

now the game(greed) of builder starts,in between price increase 10-15%.
builder send the notice pay rest amount 18 lac in next 10 days otherwise flat be cancelled without any further notice.

bank is not agree to made disbursment untill they get all documents.

i know how i managed that situation(arranged that 18 lac in 7 days)and saved my flat.

later on i came to know by that ,builder done cancellation of 5 out of 24 flat.

and the cheating is not end here, at time of possestion again slaped a penalty of 2 lac (due to that late payment).
