NCRPB has one valid point which no one can object….
There was very less population in G.Noida and population ratio increment is very less in G.Noida across NCR so why another big land is allotted after 20-25KM far from G.Noida… Authority may not be able to give answer for this. In case of NE… they might have answer as there was no land available in Noida so they allotted land to nearby sectors to take care of population… |

YE area till Agra is not part of NCR, is it? If not how come does it need NCR approval? I don't think much hue and cry is gonna happen over YEA issue since there is hardly end users but certainly it would give pain to YE Authority.

Yamuna Expressway hit farmers may move court
LUCKNOW: Farmers whose land was acquired for construction of the Yamuna Expressway and associated projects may also take legal course in the wake of Allahabad High Court's Friday verdict directing the state government to increase compensation of farmers affected by land acquisition in Noida and Greater Noida by 64%. These farmers were not happy with the deal given to them by the government. Though there has been no vocal protest in the recent past, barring Tappal in Aligarh, many feel that deep resentment among farmers will show its impact in the 2012 assembly elections due in next four months. "Our demands include withdrawal of FIRs against farmers including Manveer Singh Teotia, compensation to farmers who had agreed to sell their land at par with Noida and Greater Noida and 10% of developed land free of cost," said Yogendra, a farmer, from Tappal Aligarh. Farmers said that the state government had assured on September 9, 2010 to withdraw all police cases filed against them last year during agitation but nothing has been done so far. They also want compensation for the crop they could not cultivate on the land, which they claim has been acquired through coercion. Officials, however, said that the state government has given adequate compensation to the farmers for the acquired land and for the rabi and khairf crops. Farmers of Bhatta-Parsaul in Gautam Buddh Nagar district have already approached court over atrocities unleashed on them by the police in May this year following clash during protests. The Yamuna Expressway project has been in controversy since its conception in 2002. The initial cost was Rs 1,600 crore which has now increased to Rs 9,500 crore. Around 1,546 hectare of land has been acquired for 165.5 km long Expressway from Gautam Buddh Nagar to Agra, affecting 350 villages. Similarly, around 350 villages have been affected by acquisition of around 2,500 hectare of land for hi-tech cities in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Mathura, Agra, Bulandshahr and Aligarh. Over 6,500 hectares land has been acquired. Around 13 lakh population, in 1030 villages of six districts - Gautam Buddh Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Agra and Mahamayanagar (Hathras) -- has been affected. The farmers did not oppose acquisition for highway, which would benefit the population of the area, but they opposed townships because rich agriculture land was acquired at low prices and sold to builders at high cost. The government move led to protests by farmers at many places last year. The agitation at Tappal turned violent in August 2010, killing five persons. The state government took series of measures, including increase in compensation, to calm down the farmers. It also announced a new land acquisition policy. The government decided that future acquisition would be done though a mutual agreement between farmers and developers. The agreement for land acquisition would be finalised only after the consent of 70% of farmers of the village or area in question. This will also apply in acquisitions done by government agencies for housing and industrial development. Farmers will have the option to take entire compensation at the time of acquisition or take 16% of the total developed land along with Rs 23,000 annual annuity per acre for 33 years. The annuity will increase at the rate of Rs 800 annually per acre. However, farmers remained unhappy because the new scheme was not implemented with retrospective effect. Even police cases lodged against them and their leaders for participating in agitations were not withdrawn. Farmer leader Manveer Singh Teotia is in jail since July this year. The government had declared him a hard core criminal and announced an award of Rs 50,000 on him. Over 20 cases were slapped on him in last one year. However, the farmer leader has got bail in 12 cases and one case has been quashed by the court. Hearing on bail petition in 10 other cases is underway. Teotia had also led the agitation in Bhatta-Parsaul in Gautam Buddh Nagar where four persons, including two policemen, died in farmer-police clash in May this year. A few women of Bhatta-Parsaul have accused PAC jawans of rape after the clash. Opposition parties made it a national issue hoping gains in 2012 elections -TOI |

Its not only the development but also the third parties involvement that SC may consider.Yes no construction has been done but properties have still been sold to private companies, builders, end users...etc. |

Farmers are already aware that SC has cleared expressway BUT NCR approval is also not there... but BIG issue is on property and not expressway. Even NCR board can not cancel "expressway" which is almost clear for nation benefit... but not sure about rest of properties allotted to builders/buyers |

I can see another speculation started by everyone here. To me it looks like political issue again as compared to anything else and it has to do more with the elections next year.
Why NCRPB was silent when the authority launched the scheme of residential plots in 2009 and when the land was being sold to builders in chunk on this stretch? Ab 2 saal baad jaage hain aur jo bechare paisa laga chuke unka kya?? There is simply no process in this country and anybody and everybody shows their own power at wrong time only. Yesterday I was watching Sivaji (rajnikant movie) and the same issue is shown there as well. All ministries, departments, boards etc are asking money and nothing else for approvals and their stamps. When it is given away, there are no issues. Ultimately the buyer has to pay the price which is factoring the bribe paid at various levels. |
