I think this works only when the title of a thread gets repeated i.e., if somebody attempts to post a new thread with a title, which already exists .
The existing system may not work ( correct me, if i am wrong ) in cases, for instance, consider some Property News or any long running thread . I make a post ( reply to the thread in an existing thread ), with a title which has been posted earlier too ( this is happening, say for some News being shared, as there r multiple News related threads running ) . Can this system be made to work in such cases to check this duplicity of mainly News related postings .
I hope, i was able to explain, what i am intending to say .

This should help new members explore around before making too many new, duplicate threads.
