Which Are The Fastest Growing Areas in Chennai?

I plan to invest in residential land in chennai and would like to hear views on which area is fastest growing and will give good returns over a long term(10-15 yrs). I am confused between
1) OMR
2) Chengalpattu close to Mahindra City
3) Sriperumpudur- Oragadam area
4) North Chennai

I am evaluating North Chennai as an option as prices are more reasonable there compared to other boom areas.

OMR is a safe bet. My next vote is for North Chennai - this is a locality slowly but definitely changing - its within city limits with essential infra in place and access to business areas and Rly/Road transport facilities. It will take sometime but will not lag behind in appreciation compared to other areas in the next 5-10 years.

I have different opinion on this issue. I feel GST road is one of the fastest growing area that is from tambaram to chengelpet. North chennai definitely yes after GST.

warm regards

In my opinion

OMR and GST wil lead the way to higher prices. There are huge investments by corporates in both these locations and will be there for the next 10 years and beyond. OMR will develop faster as the huge complexes will complete over the 2-3 years. By 2015 these areas would be prime and one would only wonder how these areas looked in 2010

Hi Venkateshgoku,
If you are willing to travel 3 or 4 kms from railway station, then GST road has plenty of opportunities, in Vandalur, Urapakkam, Guduvanchery and Maraimalai nagar.
