OMR Vs Vandalore, Chennai

If you had a choice between investing in an apartment in OMR and Vandalore/Urapakkam, which one would you go for?

I personally want to go for OMR but some of my friends say that connectivity is better on Vandalore side.

I am looking for general information and perspectives here; it is alright if your opinion is personal or biased.

Thanks!

omr side will have rental value for there are good lot of cos. conveyance by road is very good. infrastructure is well developed. lots of developers are making their footprint there.vandalur has excellent connectivity by rail and road - one can reach this place at any point of the day. Location should be close to gst road. JAYASARATHI

If you are looking for a reputed builder, your options in GST Road is limited to Akshaya,L&T,Arun Excello etc. where as in OMR you can choose from Hiranandani,Purvankara,True Value,Mantri,Akshaya,Lancor,DLF etc. etc. Moreover walk-to-work concept is already in place in OMR. However as far as connectivity is concerned GST is far better compared to OMR.So the final choice will depend on the individual preference.

vandaloor is best

I prefer Vandaloor/urapakam because of the connectivity ...

In future we will have Mono rail connectivity, metro rail connectivity and bus connectivity too.

Also we will have the 400ft outer ring connectivity and we can easily connect to 200ftt tambaram to maduravoil byepass.

After mono rail you can reach vandaloor to medavakam in few mints.

Also there is a byepass planned between perungulatur and rajakizpakam. This will help us to travel to any part of OMR either to sozinganaloor or to kelambakam via already available route (vandaloor to kelampakam road)

Think and make decision.

Yes ...Monorail project will be a boon to Vandalur and surrounding areas.
Let us see how it's implemented.
BTW do you have any idea about Urapakkam Railway Overbridge project?
Is it done or half way through.

One more thing, how much do they quote for a decent apartment at Vandalur. Pls share ur views.

Thank you

One of my friend relation is a builder and when i discussed with him he told that near urapakam 1.5km from GST they quote arround 2700 to 2900.

But you have to search a lot to get good building.

I have one suggestion. You can see many new plots near urapakam arround 3km from GST. I think you can get halfground for 15 L.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Yes...investing on land would be a good deal that too at Urapakkam. But I don't live at India right now, so this would be lil hard for me. Therefore I am looking for a good apartment which would fetch good rental.

Do you have any idea about 'GST on GST' by Dakshin. They are quoting 2900 /sq. ft. and it's on the GST Main Road? Is it a good deal?
