      Black money battle
The battle to retrieve black money is an unending saga.
Powerful people have stashed away money and it will not be easy to tackle this aspect.
Decision making is going to be difficult and at the end of it, nothing much will come back.
      http://www.ndtv.com/article/india/bi...-lateststories
      Extract:
While the government has submitted a list of 627 Indians who hold accounts at HSBC to the Supreme Court today, sources in the tax department say that the black money that the government can hope to recover - including penalties - is Rs. 3,000 crore, an amount that greatly dampens talk of billions of dollars that could be brought back to India.

Officials familiar with the list of account holders given today to court present a series of challenges that await the government.

Of the 600-odd account holders, about 150 have paid taxes or penalties already since the names were handed over to India a few years ago. Their cases must be treated as settled, said sources, and they cannot be prosecuted now.
All this is political posturing.Whatever black money was there has disappeared or come back to India in many ways.

              All drama.
              It was electoral drama only.
The high and mighty who had hidden the money are not going to leave trails to their home address.
