Hello
I am starting this new tread since a number of projects in CR are approaching the final 6 months of completion. Mahagaun recently paid penalty cheques to all the owners in Mascot for any delay .

Dumping ground issue is out of Dundaheda now and this has come in several news papers now .
NH 24 widening is sanctioned and tender is floated.Does any one have any thing to add .

I am an owner in Mahagun mascot project and am an end user. Would like to see a useful flow in information in this thread for the benefit of all .

Happy threading :)

Power tariff hike for UP group housing societies

The writer has posted comments on this articleAyaskant DasAyaskant Das, TNN | Nov 12, 2012

NOIDA: Thousands of residents in group housing societies in Ghaziabad, Noida and Greater Noida who get electricity in their homes through single-point power connections availed by their societies - instead of individual connections in each house - would have to shell out more. The new tariff structure enforced by the Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission has increased electricity charges for such bulk consumers.

Though the commission had left 'domestic' consumers untouched while implementing the new power tariff on October 19, it has increased charges under the category called 'domestic bulk-supply single-point' connections.

According to officials of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited, this category of consumers mostly comprises group-housing societies who avail power for all residents at a single point within their premises. Fixed charges for consumers under this category have been hiked from Rs 40 per kWh to Rs 50 per kWh. In addition, per unit charges have also been increased from Rs 3.20 to Rs 3.75.

Consumers in this category would be issued higher bills in November because tariff has been implemented with retrospective effect from October 1. UPPCL officials said the tariff would be higher for only those residents who avail power from a single point in their society premises through sub-meters installed in their individual houses.

  • I believe the reason for the same was illegal construction beyond the approved number of towers, isn't it?

Most builders assumed GDA to give approval for higher floors as well (which has been a common affair) and therefore went ahead with the construction of illegal floors. Now, there seems to be some tussle between the builders and GDA for getting approvals for these illegal floors, and therefore the delay. Many apartments of these unapproved floors have already been sold out to public.

I assume that these floors will be approved, sooner or later. But till then, the builders are just postponing the promised date of resuming construction to the worried and inquisitive buyers .

Just imagine the plight of the buyers till the time the clearances are obtained, I guess some of them booked in early 2011 (unsure if there are even earlier than that) but just imagine 2 years of heartache.
