Re : High Speed Metro RRTS Delhi RNE Meerut Line Update

The way I understood the article, it seems like this new bullet train is going to have its own broad gauge tracks. If that is the case, then it doesn't matter where(Meerut, Panipat or Alwar) these trains are connecting, but this project can't be completed for next 10 years. I am not trying to be harsh, but giving a realistic scenario to what happens to these kind of projects. Acquiring the land will take years, so 4-6 years for a new infrastructure like this is literally not possible.

Yes, this metro will have its own elevated or underground track just like DMRC. mainly difference will be it will have double speed with very few stops to cover distance very fast then DMCR Metro. Project is really very big and your assumption of time frame may also be true, that's why I say it all depends upon investor LUCK, rate appreciation due to RRTS Metro is only a long term game and will effect appreciation only in long terms but where ever place RRTS metro will have stoppage it will give huge appreciation in future in those areas because the key point is that, same distance will be travel in 1/3 time then DMRC Metro.

Re : High Speed Metro RRTS Delhi RNE Meerut Line Update

        Its all fake news

The govt departments love to build castles in the air. I remember how flyover over Modinagar was 'almost complete' during the tenure of Santosh Yadav as DM; it was alteast 5 yrs back!!
They have been talking of Meerut-Delhi in 45 min for atleast last 10 years. Meanwhile, the actual commuting time has increased from 1.5 hrs to 2.5 hrs since then due to regular traffic jams in Muradnagar and Modinagar.

These news are as much credible as airport in GNoida.

I love to see Worst Case Senario situations for new developments. No harm to consider that this project may also be false. But there is a difference in GN Airport and in this RRTS Proejct. 10 years before GN Airport mainly advertised by authority / builders to sell GN lands which was more than 30KM far from Delhi, however all knew that due to rules it is very tough to create several public airports with in 150 KM radius, and when Delhi government already have developed world class T3 terminal which has capacity of handle the air traffic of future 50 years. Now the same story is being played for YEW (Min 40 KM far from Delhi + 2 or 3 TOLL TAX).

This RRTS project is not owned by any authority, it is the combined project of Center Government and all NCR board authorities to handle future traffic of NCR as it has already entered into the worst situation in peak hours. Hence chances of failure of this project is much less than GN Airport.

From last 3 years projects around Delhi-GZB RRTS route are being sold at its own advantages and not due to RRTS Metro Announcement and for RNE it is just an extra BOUNS if completed. 8 years before nobody even in dream thinks that Delhi metro will run in Noida/GZB after 8 years, but now its true and property rates has been jumped all time highest beyond the imaginations so I again say that all depends upon investor LUCK but have eyes opened and not good to give extra increased rate due to RRTS to Builders. 2000 PSF rate for RTM flats in RNE is genuine price at this time at its location of Maximum 11-14 KM far from Vaishali GZB / Anand Vihar / Dilshad Garden Delhi / Noida 62 .

            Delhi-Meerut commuting time?

I have no comments to offer about property rates. My comment is ONLY about 100s of 'sarkari' announcements regarding Delhi-Meerut commuting time. All the announcements (be it toll road, express way, bullet train, metro and what not) have proved wrong in last 10 years. I think the same about this latest news.

Moreover, even if the actual project work on ground starts from today, it won't complete in next 10 years. How many years has it taken to construct just 2.5 km of metro line into Ghaziabad? I don't expect less than 10 years for completing 80km into UP.

You are right for Meerut and very less development around Muradnagar / Modinagar areas till date.

                Saurabh Bhai,

Funding form state governments will also become an issue as it is a 50:50 partnership. Changes in government at any of these states can also bring a halt to this scheme. It is important to have the same govt in state and center to make these kind of projects successful.

Not 50% for state government, its 12.5% for 1 state. I don't think any government will try to stop this project once started. The day when work on construction of elevated track started, it will be run smoothly. Issue will be only the starting of work which may be delayed in approvals. See we can only share NEWS and can discuss its effect but finally all knows that anything may happen. If you are asking for my opinion then I think chances of success of the RRTS project is much more than the failure, and if it success (8-10 years completion time is OK) then appreciation in % in connected locations will be even more than the DMRC Metro Arrivals because IT's DIFFERENT.

What about highway bw Delhi-Meerut ?

Another govt annoucement (again for the heck of it) I think I have also read / heard for atleast 2 years is about some express highway being built bw Delhi - Meerut stretch which will reduce the travel time to 45 mins.

Ohh yeah, even if it happens in 10 years, the effect on the areas in this route is going to be huge. Lets hope for the best...
