Ansal Properties & Infrastructure Limited (Sushil Ansal Group) will raise a high-tech city on 2,504 acres of land adjoining Greater Noida. An MOU to this effect was recently signed between UP government and a consortium in which APIL is the main member. The value of the project is expected to be over Rs.20,000 crores.

The proposed high-tech city will have an 18-hole golf course likely to be designed by Martin Hawtree who has designed over 750 golf courses worldwide. Golf apartments and golf villas abutting the course may be built in order to bring people closer to nature.

The city further proposes to have a number of sporting facilities like the Mahesh Bhupathi Tennis Academy, a polo and equestrian club. Also envisaged is a world-class stadium where proper training will be imparted to budding sportsmen and athletes.

Five-star hotels, serviced apartments, a convention centre and an exhibition hall in the proposed township are to take care of hospitality and tourism.

Meanwhile, emphasis is going to be laid on good social infrastructure like a world class hospital, nursing homes, schools and other institutions of excellence, according to P.N. Misra, Executive Director, APIL.

The township will have around 50% open area consisting of greenery and roads to provide a pollution-free environment. About 20% of the dwelling units has been earmarked for EWS (economically weaker section) and LIG (low income group) category, thus meeting the social responsibility clause.

This will be one of the largest real estate development projects in NCR and will accommodate a population of over 30,000 people.
