Sept 14 updates NBCC Heights 89

        Hi
        Greetings

Construction at Project seems to have restarted as visible in Sep 14, pictures on website.
Any resale happening?? open to public?? transfer charges??
        Any issues??

interestingly some of the private builders refrain from publishing their construction status online.. good to see a PSU maintaining positive communication with buyers.

        Cheers

NCDRC asks NBCC to pay Rs 2 lakh to buyer for 39 months rental loss

The order passed on Friday directed NBCC to comply within four weeks, failing which it would have to pay 12% annual interest for the same period. Dipak K Dash | TNN | September 23, 2019, 07:54 IST

NEW DELHI: The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) has ordered state-owned NBCC to pay Rs 2 lakh for rental loss to a flat buyer who got his house after a delay of nearly 39 months.

“We are of the considered view that there is deficiency of service on the part of NBCC and this complaint is allowed in part directing NBCC to pay interest at 10% per annum on the amount deposited by the complainant from June 2015 till the actual date of possession which is in August 2018, together with compensation of Rs 2 lakh for rental loss and mental agony and costs of Rs 25,000,” said the order passed by a two-member bench of NCDRC comprising its president Justice R K Agrawal and member M Shreesha.

The order passed on Friday directed NBCC to comply within four weeks, failing which it would have to pay 12% annual interest for the same period.

One Shriram Trivedi of Ramesh Nagar in Delhi had booked a flat in NBCC’s housing project in Sector 89 in Gurgaon in 2012 at a cost of over Rs 1 crore. NBCC had promised to deliver the flat by June 2014.

When Trivedi visited the site in September 2014, he did not see any major progress. In an RTI reply, NBCC in May 2014 admitted that work had stopped from the January 2014.

Trivedi had approached NCDRC in 2017. NBCC argued before the commission that construction was delayed as the contractor engaged for the project had failed to deliver and NBCC could not do much as there was an HC stay on encashing the bank guarantee of the defaulting construction firm.

NBCC claimed ‘force majeure’ and agreed to pay compensation for the delayed period. But NCDRC turned down NBCC’s plea. It observed that NBCC could not give substantial reason for the delay.

            I am getting a 3 Bhk + S in 84L.

I liked the size of rooms and the apt is in my budget. From the various reviews availabl, the concern/doubt I have are a) HT wires, b)water supply (through tankers ? ) & c)electicity (agreeculture connection ?).

I am told that HT wires dont have current now, water is ground (borewell) water and electricty is from DHBVN. Anyone residing there or have first hand information, please can you suggest.
