Delhi Metro (DMRC) Covers 15 KM in 25 Minutes with 10 stoppage, High Speed RRTS Metro will cover 15 KM in 10 Minutes having 4 stoppage. Amazing!!!!

    30 Jun 2011, 0900 hrs IST,

    ?????? ?? 16 ????? ?? ??? ??? ????? ????? - Navbharat Times

      right time?

Does it mean its time to invest in the Kundli resion?

If the RRTS is ready in 4 years then the ROI could be very decent.

      Thoughts??

4 years completion time is actually not realistic for any RRTS route, for Kundli realistic timeframe will be around 8-10 Years for running RRTS Metro. But yes this dream will definitely be true in 10 years and for long terms Kundli may be a good bet. At this time for Delhi-GZB-Meerut route DPR is almost ready from RRTS Authority and this route is at first priority by RRTS Authority because it has shortest distance among all and highest public travel (more than 5-6 Lac) Daily at this route. Even DPR for Delhi-GZB-Meerut is almost ready but still realistic timeframe for this route will not be before 2018. Rest all depends upon LUCK of investor.

          awesome!

If and when implemented, this RRTS thing is going to be super awesome! Till now, every builder tries to project "approximity to Delhi Metro" as its USP.. Come 2014, properties will sell keeping RRTS in mind!! Once the proposed routes of RRTS get published, properties along the route will surely appreciate!

Being a GGN resident, I'm obviously more interested in the Delhi-Gurgaon-Rewari link. Looking at the route, I believe it'll be along or not very far from NH-8. Worst case, if the "proposed" Delhi metro doesn't reach NH-8/Manesar, this RRTS surely will! Let's wait and watch; for the moment, great news for everyone!

As per initial news it looks like that this line will be mostly aligned to Nh8 .. It will be one another booster for NH8 properties down the line 5 years

Completely agree, and believe me this dream will definitely comes true with in next 10 years.

This RRTS metro will have its own elevated or underground track just like DMRC. mainly difference will be it will have double speed with very few stops to cover distance very fast then DMCR Metro. Project is really very big. Rate appreciation due to RRTS Metro is only a long term game and will effect appreciation only in long terms but where ever place RRTS metro will have stoppage it will give huge appreciation in future in those areas because key point is same distance will be cover in 1/3 time then DMRC.

This RRTS project is not owned by any particular state authority, it is the combined project of Center Government (just like DMRC with in DELHI) and all NCR board authorities to handle future traffic of NCR as it has already entered into the worst situation in peak hours. Hence chances of failure of this project is much less.

Work on Delhi-GZB-RNE-Meerut route is in little bit more in planing stage from last 8 months and Gurgaon guys can follow below GZB link for knowing more about this RRTS Authority and analyze how seriously they are working from last 8 months for RRTS become operational. Most of the share of funds will be manged by Center Government and hence much secure project.

Sorry friends to jump into this out of nowhere.

I share each of your optimism on RRTS.

What I understand is- Gurgaon railway station is on proposed Dwarka Eway.

Am I correct in my understanding that Dwarka Eway properties would definitely get max benefit of appreciation from RRTS.

                Right or wrong?

I think you have not read about the routes & plan of RRTS correctly. There is nothing related to RRTS route or stoppage from existing railway stations or northern railways . RRTS work will be started first on GZB NH-58 , Maneser NH-8 , Kundli Route. This is not a northern railway project and RRTS will run just like DMRC Airport Express LINE which same speed and less stoppage (one after each 5 KM), same way. Most of the tracks will be Elevated and will be underground with in DELHI, all route of RRTS will be inter connected by DMRC Metro Stations or by RRTS Routes itself.

Indian Railways is involved in the RRTS planning and alignment process, since a major part of land for RRTS would come from Indian Railways. (But IR might not be allowed to run (i.e. ruin) this project.

A few extracts from recent news articles making things somewhat clear:

                    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"...The plan proposes to set up a rail rapid transit system along dedicated tracks with a modern communication system to enable “ safer, high- speed and high- frequency services”. This includes lines from Delhi to Panipat, Bhagpat, Meerut, Hapur, Khurja, Palwal, Rewari and Rohtak. At present, trains have to share tracks with faster trains, thus holding them up...."

"...Sources said though a majority of the dedicated RRTS corridors will come up along the existing railway network across NCR, their alignment could be shifted in some cases so that these become more accessible to commuters. The present rail network is already overburdened and there is hardly any scope for augmentation of the suburban rail services on the existing tracks. Hence the proposal to have dedicated tracks for RRTS."

"...For the RRTS, the plan is to lay new railway lines parallel to the existing lines on which inter-city and long-distance trains operated by Northern Railways run. .....The routes were decided after MoUD and NCRPB conducted a study on Integrated Transportation Plan for the NCR, with a 2032 horizon. The study recommended a rail-based rapid transit system to solve the inter-city transportation issues."

"...According to Haryana Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sharda Rathore the feasibility survey has been completed by Delhi Integrated Multi Modal Transit System (DIMTS) for linking the historic Panipat city with Delhi via Sonepat. The high speed train is to be run on a dedicated corridor. While Haryana government would fund construction of the dedicated corridor, the Indian Railways are expected to operate the service."

"...As per the larger proposal to develop regional rail corridors, the railway lines will be laid parallel to the existing rail lines. The inter-city corridor will be allowed to go into the city as required and then rejoin the existing track."

"....As per the proposal, though a majority of the dedicated RRTS corridors would come up along the existing railway network across NCR, their alignment could be shifted in some cases so that these become more accessible to commuters. "

"...“The equity contribution will be 22.5 per cent each by the Union Ministry of Urban Development and the Union Ministry of Railways, 5 per cent by the NCR Planning Board, while Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh will contribute 12.5 per cent each,” said an official."

                    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To borrow a master's words from another blog..." RRTS tracks will divert from IR's railway stations to have their own station at the major road junctions. After that RRTS tracks will again join IR tracks. In nutshell RRTS tracks will be along IR's tracks but RRTS stations will be away from IR stations for better accessibility. That's what I have gathered from the news articles so far."

Therefore, there is a very strong reason to say that RRTS would be on Dwarka Eway, but I agree that we have to wait for the official declaration.
